Operational Element Types and User Names

From the operating point of view of a CREATIF design smart Elements can be:
• Controlling – Elements that can trigger Conditions;
• Controlled – Elements performing Condition Action Sequences when the assigned Condition is triggered. Add-Ons for the functional simulation of controlled elements have been implemented to allow visualisation of their behaviour on the PC monitor;
• Auxiliary – Elements providing electrical consistency of the design only.

The following elements are available in the software:

Electroluminescent -> Controlled
Thermochromic -> Controlled
Spiral speaker -> Controlled
Proximity sensor -> Controlling
Connectors -> Auxiliary
Conductive tracks -> Auxiliary

The names of smart Elements are automatically set by the software as they are introduced into the design. It is recommended to set different user names to make it easier when developing the design.

Setting the User Name of an Element:
In the Visualisation Board, in the Elements list, all the controlled Elements appear in the design. Select the Element whose name you want to modify. The Element becomes selected in the design view and its current name is displayed in the Name: section. Type the new name that you want to give to that Element and press the button Change.

Setting User Defined Names to all Elements facilitates the setting of the Element’s behaviour and makes the grouping, reconnecting and connectivity editing of the Elements easier.
